Introduction

The blood oxygen saturation device mainly measures the two blood oxygen states of oxygenated blood and anoxic blood, so the oximeter uses two beams of different frequencies to measure these two different blood: red light and infrared light. This method is called spectrophotometry. Red light frequency is used to measure desaturated hemoglobin, and infrared frequency is used to measure oxygenated blood. If the maximum absorption is displayed in the infrared band, it indicates high saturation. On the contrary, if the maximum absorption is displayed in the red band, it indicates low saturation.
